Weddings

Your Hair & Beauty Bar love nothing more than to be a part of your beautiful wedding day. Getting married is a high mix of emotions, all beautiful and in awe of your soon to be husband/wife/partner. We all dream of that fairy-tale wedding, and with us we do absolutely everything in our power to make sure your fairy-tale dream comes alive, completely stress free. Some tips to help you with the process of your Bridal Hair:

TRIAL:

Your wedding hair trial takes place in our salon where you are welcomed into our very chic and creative space. Ideally we like to do your trial a month before your wedding day. We do trials in our salon because we have a lot to cover and is a space you can relax, breathe and ultimately get the most out of your trial. Here we piece together your hairstyle, gather all the information we need about your incredible wedding day and organise timing. We are very used to working along side your makeup artists, photographer and event coordinators and are very cooperative with them all, so your morning will run smoothly.

By the end of your trial we will have figured out your hairstyle, any additional hairpieces, hair jewels and extensions if you’re needing them. You will have an easy to follow step-by-step guide to take home with you for prepping your hair the morning of. We will have our arrival time and finishing time finalised, bridal party and guest’s hairstyle numbers confirmed. Everything is covered in our trial appointment together, so on the day you’re only prepping your hair for our arrival and enjoying your morning with your favourite people – we do the rest.

ON THE DAY:

The day is finally here! We would have been in contact with you leading up to today, we have great communication leading up to your wedding day and we are always here for you. On the day of your wedding you have nothing to worry about as everything is already confirmed and sorted, all you have to do for us is your hair prep we spoke about at your trial, other than that, we arrive, do your hair and have a completely stress free and fun morning all together!

Please feel free to send an enquiry using the form below. I can’t wait to hear from you!

The Salon

Frequently Asked Q’s & A’s

General Salon Questions:

1. Where are you located?

We are a home salon in Maroochydore, located under the house, if you follow the driveway steps down and turn right, you’ll see the salon door ahead.

2. What are your Prices?

Our price menu is a guide, all hair is different and we all want to achieve different things with our hair. No two hair colours are the same. So, when it comes to quoting your new hair colour we really do need to see you and your hair in person. We need to factor in length, texture, the health of your hair, your lifestyle, product routine and of course your hair’s natural colour and your hair colour history. So much information is needed for us to deliver what you want with your hair and it is best done in person, together – with inspiration photos. After a one on one consult we can then accurately quote. Our consultations are Free!

3. What do you specialise in?

We are blonde hair, balayage and lived-in colour specialists, hair extension experts and award-winning bridal hair stylists. We absolutely love all aspects of hairdressing and offer many other hair services too.

Extensions:

1. How do I look after them?

- Attend the salon every 6-8 weeks for maintenance

- Sleep on a silk pillowcase and braid/plait hair for sleeping in

- Purchase and use our salon quality hair products that are moisture based, recommended by your stylist

- Do not go to bed with wet hair

- Wash your hair 1-2 times a week

- Always dry roots immediately after washing. Blowdry and style your hair for best results

- Don’t brush your hair when wet and only use an extension friendly hair brush recommended by your stylist

- If you have Bond Hair Extensions, don’t wash your hair or wet your hair for 48 hours

- No bleaching extensions and colouring is not recommended unless discussed with us

- Do not scrub your scalp / head aggressively

- Apply conditioner and leave in hair before swimming and wash hair immediately after swimming

- Using heat on hair extensions more than twice a week is not recommended as it will shorten the life span of them

- Keep all heat and hair tools away from the bonds of the hair extensions

- Only use clear oils on your extensions, any yellow or coloured oils will discolour your extensions

2. How long do the hair extensions last?

The duration depends on the type of extension and its maintenance, how well they are looked after and how often they are exposed to heat and external stresses.

3. Will the extensions ruin my natural hair?

Not at all, extensions actually cover and protect your hair from our external stresses like the sun and humidity. The important thing to remember is choose quality over quantity and only go to a hairdresser specialising in hair extensions (like us!). Regular maintenance is a big factor in keeping your natural hair healthy too.

4. What methods do you do?

Wefts and Keratin Bonds

5. Do you have payment options?

We are happy to discuss a personalised payment plan tailored to suit you

Coloured hair:

1. What’s the best shampoo for me to use?

Our Innovatis Luxury Care products are our number 1 recommendation for all things colour, moisture and extensions. We are a also a Keune salon and our pick in the Keune range is the Color Brillianz range, a hydrating, colour protecting range. It’s super soft and moisturising and not too heavy.

2. Does heat protect actually work?

YES! Next time you have your blowdryer out, apply your heat protect on one arm and not the other. Hold both your arms out and get someone to blowdry over your arms. You’ll feel the arm with heat protect doesn’t get as hot.

3. Are hair masks actually good for my hair?

Yes! Give yourself 5-10mins of masking. By doing a hair mask at least once a week will add a super dose of healing nourishment your hair is craving, It will help repair damage, prevent split ends, help your hair grow, increase shine and naturally keep that colour going stronger for longer.

Blondes:

1. Can I go from dark brown to blonde without damaging my hair?

Yes you can, with the right knowledge and understanding you can. We do many colour corrections and really love doing them. We guide you through the whole process and you’ll always have a clear understanding of what is involved.

2. Why is blonde hair so hard to maintain?

Because natural elements such as water, the sun, and air pollution make your beautiful blonde hair go brassy, but over styling and processing your hair can also leave your locks dry and prone to breakage. In simpler words, blonde hair is super fragile!

3. How do I maintain the perfect blonde?

- Keep it hydrated

- Protect it from the heat

- Keep it out of the sun

- Use a violet (purple) shampoo. Correctly

- Finish your hair wash regime with a cold water rinse

- Use the correct home hair care products

- Avoid yellow or any colour toned oils. Use a clear oil only

- Avoid washing your hair more than twice a week – invest in a dry shampoo

- Head into your salon for a ‘Toner Refresh’ appointment between colours
